Who We Are

Our Mission

The mission of our church is simple and Biblical, one that begins and ends with Jesus...

To belong to the Reformed Church of the Thousand Isles is to be Living, Learning, and Spreading the love of Christ.

The love of Christ is our reason for gathering, uniting, and being the church. His life, death, resurrection, and continued Lordship call us together in the fulfillment of His mission. We are all called to be disciples and followers of Christ, as well as to make disciples and followers of Christ. His love sustains and compels us.

To live out the love of Christ is to treat others with that same humble, serving love. We are to extend Christian love to each other within the church community, as well as the community we are called to live in both locally and globally. To live out the love of Christ is to engage in loving fellowship, as well as to humbly serve.

To learn the love of Christ is to actively engage in the process of Christian growth--of striving to become holy as He is holy. This learning involves growing in love and knowledge of Scripture, prayer, and worship. Time spent enjoying the love of Christ allows one to grow into the love of Christ. To learn the love of Christ is to grow in Christ-likeness.

To spread the love of Christ is to invite others to enjoy the rich love that God freely offers all people. This love is found only in relationship with Christ, and experienced in community with His followers. It is our desire that all should come to know and experience the love of Christ. It is our joy and duty to show others this gospel love by both our spoken and lived out message of love and invitation. To spread the love of Christ is to evangelize our community and world.
